you are defenitely not alone.
Almost all students I talked to have the same concerns: grades are shit, work load is crazy, no time for fun, etc. And this is expected, since for instance in one UST corse in order to get B- one should solve 80% of (not trivial) problems. In my opinion UST puts a tremendous preassure on students. Just too much. Students have no time to think about the subject they study, the best they can do (in order to get good grades) is to memorize. However, memorizing is bullshit. Without understanding all facts will be forgotten in one week after an exam.

The simple secret is that, except students, nobody cares about grades
Neither reasonable employer (if you want to work in industry after graduation), nor University (if you want to stay in academia and get postgraduate degree). All they care about is to get a smart, talented and perspective person. And there are a lot of ways (much better than grades) to demonstrate this (u like web design? – make a really good one website; you like writing? – write a briliant essay, etc.)

I would suggest
1. Organize your time (in this sense it is good that u’ll be at home in this term).
2. Do not concentrate of grades, try to understand the subject you study.
