My 17th Birthday

Thanks for coming, the lunch, cake and gifts everyone!

Accepted to Purdue, FTW!

That’s right, just go notified of admission to Purdue University!

Dear Illya,

We are pleased to offer you admission to Purdue University as an undergraduate in the School of Management, with a major in Economics, for the session beginning August 25, 2008. The final day to schedule your classes will be August 22, 2008. Your academic record indicates we can expect you will continue to succeed and we hope you will choose to enroll at Purdue. Please remember to send us your final results from any course work that you complete before your arrival.

… (the rest is about accepting admission)

Especially funny was this: “…we can expect you will continue to succeed…”. Just for those that don’t know, Purdue is ranked as a top 25 public university in the US, #64 overall and it’s undergraduate business school is one of the top 15 in the US. Woot!

Now 6 more unis in the US I await decisions from and 2 in Hong Kong. The waiting game continues…

Say what, Apple?!

So I just installed Leopard today and was looking around for new features and noticed something in the Network Utilities app (in the Applications/Utilities folder) that struck my eye:

Say what, Apple?!

Who do you want to “finger”?

I’m an ISTJ, and proud of it!

So I took a personality test today and it told me that I am this kind of person. Another article (shorter) which also fits greatly.

The cool part? It fits me almost perfectly. Especially this part (in the TypeLogic article):

ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don’t keep their commitments. But they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don’t mince words. Truth wins out over tact.

You should really take this test, and be honest when you do it.
