So I just checked out Apple.com today and noticed that it had a complete redesign. Gone is the many-year-old glossy tab bar at the top and there is now a sleek gray/silver gradient with much fewer tabs. The current background is black and OS X Leopard has been released. By the way, there’s also a Safari 3 Public Beta for Windows XP and Vista now. The website promises speeds up to 2 times faster than Internet Explorer and it looks pretty sleek with a design resembling iTunes for Windows.
Pretty cool stuff, go check it out
I was listening to my favorite radio station, Virgin Radio UK (iTunes > Radio > Pop) and heard the following government radio advertisement:
Adult Male Voice:“This is the sound of a child being hit by a car traveling 40 miles an hour”
Sound of something being hit and then silence
Adult Male Voice: “This is the sound of a child being hit by a car traveling 30 miles an hour”
Sound of something being hit and then the sound of a child crying loudly
Child’s voice: “If you hit me at 40 miles an hour, there’s around an 80% chance I’ll die. Hit me at 30 and there’s around an 80% chance I’ll live.”
Adult male voice: “Think. It’s a 30 mile an hour speed limit for a reason.”
I have yet to find a audio recording of this but if I do, I’ll put it up.
UPDATE: Thanks to a friend, I now have the link to the audio clip.
