I’ve been waiting for this day for ages and it finally happened. Apple released the MacBook (new iBook) on Tuesday. It still bears a very similar look to the original iBook but it has in fact been greatly redesigned. The new ‘Book features a built-in iSight camera, an Intel Core Duo chip which makes it a whopping 5 times faster (from 1.83Ghz up to 2.0Ghz) than the original and 13.3 inch widescreen display. One of the coolest things is that Apple now offers a black MacBook. This black one costs more than the two white models and has nothing extra other than a bigger harddrive and a different colored enclosure. One of the things I’m happiest about with the new MacBook is the resolution. For years now, the iBooks have had only a 1024 x 786 resolution. Even when other laptops had 1280 by 1024 or large widescreen resolutions, the iBook only had that. Well Apple has finally fixed that and upped the resolution to a 1280 x 800 widescreen resolution. Thank you. Most of the other features are seen on the MacBook Pro and I don’t have the time to detail them, just check it out at Apple’s website.

The black model is pretty sweet. Though, it reminds me of Sony VAIOs. But that is good!
I was checking out some VAIOs and they’re extremely thin and light when compared to the MacBook but twice the price. And now that the MacBook can run Windows why the hell not buy a new MacBook?
