I finally received the free iPod shuffle that I ordered two months ago. It’s a 512 Mb version. The shuffle is actually quite a neat piece of hardware. It is small, extremely light, has a very simple design and simple controls. So simple that even two year-olds are going to have white Apple earbuds sticking out of their ears soon (maybe not). I now have two iPods on my computer, my second-generation iPod mini and this shuffle. I use it for obviously listening to music and also to store my data, that’s school stuff and of course Portable Firefox. Although I currently use my 128 Mb USB thumb-drive for data, I might switch to the shuffle (more capacity you know). Anyway the shuffle is great and I hope it will serve its purpose.

Now the memory capacity of USB drive can go up to 4 GB.
Based on my friend’s experience, you might enjoy the shuffle more than your regular iPod.
Hey kenguy, yeah I know that but I don’t need something that big for mostly Word files (school papers).
Mike, I am actually really enjoying it. The thing I like is that it’s so small and simple. It’s kind of hard to explain but I like it more.
