Happy Birthday To Me

Today, November 17th, was my 15th birthday. Wow, 15 already (gotta change my About page). Anyway, I asked for money for my birthday and got it and also got gifts from some of my friends at school. There are a few high-schoolers who share the same birthday as me and they gave me a slice of cake for lunch which was greatly appreciated. The rest of the day was rather boring until afterschool.

We had a friendly soccer game against ICS (International Christian School) today. Earlier in the year we played against them and lost 5-0. This time we did not want that to happen again. Our team played almost completely differently. ICS scored at the very beginning of the game and we thought: damn, here we go again. But after that goal, our defense and offense greatly improved. We had possession of the ball about 60% of the time. The midfield was really working hard and we managed to finally score about 3 minutes to the end of the game after a couple of missed chances and a missed penalty kick. The final score: 1:1, a draw. Jung Min did a beautiful free kick right over the defensive wall and straight into the left side of the net leaving the goalie in awe. It was a great game and everyone played well. This was just a friendly but league games start soon, sometime in December. We’re looking forward to continue playing well in the league.

Tomorrow is Friday, my favorite day of the week. On Saturday it’s the annual AIS Cultural Fair and I’m going to be helping out at a stall to get a few community service hours. It’s an enjoyable day every year in AIS and I am sort of looking forward to it. And on Monday school starts at 9:15 A.M. instead of the usual 8:15 because of some grade 9 field trip. I have not the slightest idea what it is all about due to the lack of information.

Well anyway, it was a good 15th birthday and here’s to my 16th. Laters.

Storage for Essays

I have added a new section to my site in the about section to store my essays. As of now, there is only one as a lot of my good essays have been written and not typed and will require me to find the time and energy to type them out and post them. I will someday but for now you can read a fictional piece I wrote in grade 9 about a boy’s life in Russia (not to be mistaken with me).

Fix It By Making It Worse

So this is the Hong Kong government on the issue of the pollution of the harbor: We’ll clean it up and within a few years, by 2010 or so you’ll be able to swim in that harbor. Great idea, they really should clean up that filthy harbor. But at the same time, the government keeps reclaiming land on the harbor and it’s been getting smaller and smaller every year. It’ll be a stream soon if they keep it up.

So how do you clean a harbor by filling it up with concrete and mud and junk? Only the government can tell. Note: HK’s government is stupid, it’s just a bunch of overpayed, underworked tycoons making up a load of shite and getting payed for it. Our chief executive (the main man in Hong Kong’s government) walks around in a bowtie and talks crap. Literally. What else can I say?
