Tomorrow. Yep, that’s right, my grade 10 year is starting tomorrow and will go on all the way until the end of June. A lot of things to look forward to and a couple of things I miss. I miss doing something and not just sitting around at home wasting my time in front of the computer or watching TV or sitting around on the couch reading nonfiction books. I probably won’t be saying this in a few days after I start getting homework. For all of those who don’t know, my school requires the students to wear a “very” mandatory school uniform that consists of a white shirt with a school emblem, navy blue pants and black leather “school” shoes during the warmer months. I got my new school shoes on Sunday because the ones from last year looked like remnants of a rubber tire. Now I have nice and shiny new shoes.
I already packed my backpack for tommorow. I put it on on and it felt strange to have something on my back after I haven’t had something on my back for nine months but a t-shirt. Feels heavy. Brand new, clean notebooks, empty binders and stationery are now the things that fill my backpack.
OK, here’s the list of classes I’m gonna be taking this year:
Grade 10 Biology (SBI2C)
Grade 10 Mandarin (FLM2C)
Grade 10 English (ENG2C)
Grade 10 Art (ART2C)
Grade 10 Physics and Chemistry (SCF2C)
Grade 11 World History (HWH3C)
Grade 12 Pre-Calculus (MPC4C)
So that makes four grade 10 classes, two grade 11 classes and one grade 12 class. Not bad. I will also be taking the following Extra Curriculur Activities:
Soccer B Team (might upgrade to A Team if allowed)
Computer Design Club (or something like that)
Some things have changed this year in school. Homeroom is now no longer in the morning but after lunch and lunch starts at 12:30 instead of 12:45, 15 minutes easier for me as I starve by 12:45, especially when I eat breakfast at around 6:30 in the morning. All my teachers are new (to me at least) except for my Mandarin teacher. There are quite a few new teachers this year.
Anyway, while I am away at school, I might not be posting here as much but don’t worry, I’m not planning to shut this blog down (NEVER!) and I will try my best to post as often as possible without sacrificing my school work for it. Good luck to all my school mates and I need some luck too.

I start school next week, Pre-IB or Form 5 (same thing as Grade 10 except we have major exams this year, which either allow us to enter the Internationa Baccaleaurte (sp?) course or not.
I doubt i’ll fail, seeing as i am one of the better students, since the rest of my class spends their time behind their laptops on msn or smoking.

Long time no see/talk. I’ve been on MSN the whole last week but never saw you there :( Form 5? I am going to Form 4 but they call it grade 10 so I dunno what that’s all about. Thanks for the good luck wish.
Woah, your classmates smoke (at school?) and waste their time using laptops for non-educational purposes. That’s one downside of using laptops at school I guess. Good luck with your exams buddy, I’m sure you’ll do well.

I was in Spain on holiday for 3 weeks, and i came home yesterday, which explains my absence.
And the system goes like this here:
Form 1 = Grade 6
Form 2 = Grade 7
Form 3 = Grade 8
Form 4 = Grade 9
Form 5 = Grade 10
IB 1 = Grade 11
IB 2 = Grade 12
And yes, some of my classmates (not all) smoke at school, makes me happy i don’t smoke, cause i think its really nasty. And yea, our IT Teacher has been trying to block us from MSN and other chat and relay programs, yet it doesnt work.

So how was Spain?
Just finished the first day of school and it was OK, mostly boring because most teachers are just introducing themselves and telling us what the year is going to be like blabla. I met a couple of new teachers today, my World History and English teachers to be exact. The other teachers I know from last year but I was not taught by them. History is going to be about the 20th century so that rocks (my favorite part of history) and yeah, that’s pretty much it for today.
Not the 21st century? :p.
Anyways, its good that you dont have to worry about homework on the first day school starts, (i do)

I dunno. I am actually thinking of doing quite a major redesign for the site, make it have a “classic” look to it. Not much color and some nice fonts. I’m currently working on a new design :)
