And so I start off month 6 of this blog. Here goes another month of posting and commenting and reading other people’s blogs. The weather today in Hong Kong is sunny, hot and humid at 28-30 degrees Celsius. Today I am going to go get my twin-block (an apparatus used to widen my jaw before I get braces) tightened for the 5th time (they’re tightened every month). Not much else is really happening today. Tomorrow though, I am going to the airport to meet my sister who is coming from the U.S. She will be staying here for about 2 weeks and I have no idea what we are going to do during that time. You see, Hong Kong isn’t a place where you can really do much but shop and eat and look at the limited array of attractions.
They have built a new Disney theme park in Hong Kong and that will be open on September 12th. The thing is, they are supposed to open up the train that goes to the park today and I think they might’ve even opened up Main Street U.S.A. The last time I’ve been to Disney World was about 4 years ago in Orlando, Florida. The Disneyland (not World here) here definitely won’t be as big as the one in Florida or California but it should have some classic Disney attractions. I can actually see Disney from my living room, but it is far, far away on Lantau Island (the largest island in Hong Kong). The thing I already dislike about the new theme park: the castle is really small. I’m not sure about the signs in Disney, I mean, they’ll probably have Chinese signs there and I think it would look really weird, especially on Main Street U.S.A, kind of takes away the authenticity. Argh, I’ll live with it.
Also in August, school will be starting. I will be in grade 10. I am quite happy with the classes I picked. I’m just not too sure about taking two sciences. Nah, it should be okay. Well, so long and have a happy month of August.

Hi im chung choa duck….
Anyways, what’s wrong with two sciences? I take Chemistry and Physics and im still doing great.
When will school start over there?
Nothing wrong with two sciences, I am taking “Chemistry and Physics” and “Biology” at the same time so I am doing more than you, haha. School starts on August the 24th here, so not too far away.
Going to the airport today to meet my sister.
I dumped bio because our teacher couldnt say potato properly.
So i just started studying bio on my own, i have to say i learnt more since leaving then i ever learnt with her.
Yeah in English class last year, I learned nothing new except Romeo and Juliet, which was quite boring anyway. I learned a lot outside English class, from reading books and the internet and learning new words by looking through my dictionary and stuff. The English curriculum in AIS is way too easy (for fluent English speakers at least) so I’m not too happy that I am not learning much in English. Especially with SATs coming up soon, it worries me a lot.
