My First “Real” Goal

I scored my first goal in a 7-a-side soccer (football) match today. Woot! By the way, I was playing against a whole bunch of 20-30 somethings, not little kids so it was a bit (a bit?!) more difficult.

So here’s how it happened, a guy crossed the ball to me while I was in the area and I flicked it into the bottom right corner with the outside of my foot. The goalie dove down to get it but my shot was already in. Right after I scored the guy that crossed the ball to me was so happy and he said (with a Hong Kong accent):

Hey kid, tonight, write in your diary that you score first goal!

That made me laugh inside.

Congrats on your first goal, seems kinda ackward to me since we have 2 soccer fields behind our school with official sized goals and i play soccer practically all day with my friends at school.

    Nonetheless, congrats ;)

Thanks Yanick. I didn’t know you played soccer too, I always thought you hated it. Well, people change.

I still don’t like soccer :p, it’s just the fact that we play it soo much in PE which then makes you want to play it even more.

Oh, it’s just that a lot of Dutch guys are good. I mean the country is so small, but they have a huge league. You’d expect every single guy to play.

I dunno, I’ve never seen Dutch girls play. I guess I’ll have to go to Holland to see that.
