Post Number 100

100

I just had to do this. This is officially the 100th post on my blog. It’s been exactly five (5!) months since I wrote my first post. OK, it wasn’t exactly a well-written post, what, it was like 20 words long or something but it’s what started things off on this site. No big celebration or anything because of this, just kind of excites me that I have gotten this far.

100 posts, 5 months, that’s about 20 posts a month for those of you who don’t know any math. That’s quite good, by my standards at least. Well, expect a lot more posts coming your way. Next celebration: either the 200 posts day or the 1 year anniversary, whichever comes first, hehe.

My First “Real” Goal

I scored my first goal in a 7-a-side soccer (football) match today. Woot! By the way, I was playing against a whole bunch of 20-30 somethings, not little kids so it was a bit (a bit?!) more difficult.

So here’s how it happened, a guy crossed the ball to me while I was in the area and I flicked it into the bottom right corner with the outside of my foot. The goalie dove down to get it but my shot was already in. Right after I scored the guy that crossed the ball to me was so happy and he said (with a Hong Kong accent):

Hey kid, tonight, write in your diary that you score first goal!

That made me laugh inside.

Updated iBook & Mac Mini

Apple has updated the iBook and the Mac Mini. Mostly what happened was that the iBooks got more speed, a slightly better videocard and a cheaper version of the 14-inch iBook. I am hoping to buy myself an iBook, but I wish they had 15-inch models. I guess I’ll wait till they come out with Intel processor Powerbooks. The Mac Minis became a little bit cheaper. That’s all pretty much.

Server Temporarily Down

Yeah, the server that hosts my site was down the whole morning today. It was actually just the database server. Well, it’s 3:00 p.m. my time and it’s up, great! I still love my web hosting service, still haven’t found a better free service. I think my admin was installing some new scripts on the server and shut down the database server just in case something happened. I emailed him but have not gotten a reply back yet. It’s no problem anyway.

In other site news, I am installing another instance of WordPress in a different directory to mess around with the K2 theme without annoying everyone who sees this site and then killing myself over not backing up my work. Over there, it doesn’t matter, I can do whatever I want with the theme, and that’s great! When I get something I like, I’ll bring it over to this main installation and use it.
